A radio frequency identification (RFID) chip is an intelligent, wireless electronic device that can be used to identify unique items according to a standard system in order to store and transfer the corresponding data.
The 3PMSF symbol characterises winter tyres specially designed to ensure a sufficient traction and mobility for traffic in winter conditions. This marking is obtained on the basis of a regulatory test of vehicle acceleration, on a packed snow surfaces for new truck tyres. Only success in this test can rank a tyre in this category and the classification is made visible by the marking on the tyre sidewall. All tyres labelled 3PMSF are also marked M+S
You drive on motorways, highways and regional roads, and deliver everywhere, in all climatic conditions. You want tyres that are tried and tested.
The MICHELIN X® MULTIWAY™ range is available for front axles in the 80 series and in a wide profile (385/65) in the HD (Heavy Duty) version, as well as for the drive axles of your tractor units and rigids in 315/80 and in 295/80 R22.5. They can be used in multiple ways (general cargo, refrigerated transport, containers, etc.)
WHY CHOOSE THIS TYRE?
Recognised mileage performance:
To lower your operating costs, you can count on the mileage potential of these tyres, which target improved life expectancy of 15% at the steer axle and 30% drive axle. (1)
You will also see your fuel consumption fall by up to 0.5 litres per 100 km. (2)
The technologies used:
For the 315/80 R22.5 size, with 3MPSF marking, you can count on TOWERPUMP™ technology to drive safely in the rain. Grip, traction and handling have been optimised. Braking distances have been reduced by 25%. (1)
For the 385/65 R22.5 size at the front, the MULTIWAY™ HD (Heavy Duty) version incorporates INFINICOIL technology to increase your load-carrying capacity and carry 10 tonnes per axle.
The tread pattern minimises stone retention and the casing is reinforced, offering you the greatest possible resistance to accidental damage.
Saving money and the environment:
MICHELIN products are designed to make the most of the multi-life model as well as to save you money and to save the planet’s resources:
- regrooving generates savings in terms of materials and fuel
- the retreadability of these tyres gives them a second life
- these tyres are made in a factory compliant with ISO 14001

MICHELIN DURABILITY AS THE MILES TICK BY
A continuous steel wire – which can be as long as 400 metres – wrapped around the tyre's circumference to provide it with greater stability throughout its lifetime. The tyre’s enhanced durability at a higher load index or in harsher usage conditions means you can drive with complete confidence.

6 classes from A (the best performing) to G (the worst performing). Class D is not used.
The difference in fuel consumption between class A and class G tyres can be up to 7.5%.
The fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of a tyre (energy efficiency) are measured through the rolling resistance. A low rolling resistance of the tyre is crucial to contribute to fuel savings.
The only safety criteria for this labeling.
It is the braking on wet surfaces which is noted (at 80km / h), and not the handling. This is graded from A to E
