Transforming Transportation Through Tomorrow's Challenges
The transition to Net Zero emissions
As we continue the transition to NetZero emissions, truck tyres must meet the needs of new electric vehicles. At Michelin, we are renewing 80% of our range within four years to offer high-performance lorry tyres adapted to the new requirements. We are also investing in strategic partnerships with manufacturers to anticipate the needs of tomorrow's vehicles.
The rise of the circular economy
New environmental standards are increasing the demand for more sustainable, long-lasting tyres. We’re responding by increasing the renewable materials in tyres as well as in improving retreading technologies with, for example, a solution like Remix (Remix 2), which further extends their lifespan, and by investing in advanced recycling programmes.
Connectivity and digitalisation
With technology playing an ever-greater role in optimising vehicle management, Michelin is offering a connected fleet management system. Connected data demonstrates the performance of our tyres, while reducing their environmental impact.
Shortage of drivers
The lack of qualified drivers is a major issue – but it doesn’t have to be. Vehicles equipped with Michelin truck tyres provide long distance hauliers with safety and reliability. This helps to retain and attract driver talent by providing maximum driver security.
